THE CITY OF NAŠICE – WROKSHOP ON “TOURISM ON THE PILGRIMAGE ROUTE OF PÉCSVÁRAD AND BEREMEND TO NAŠICE”

On June 11, 2015 was organized workshop on “Tourism on the pilgrimage route of Pécsvárad and Beremend to Našice” by the City of Našice at City Hall, within the project PILG-SEE which is financed by the EU under IPA CBC Program Hungary – Croatia.
The workshop was held for representatives of the tourism sector with the aim of introductions with the project itself and the opportunities it provides in terms of tourism development and enrichment of the tourist offer.
The workshop was opened by the Mayor Kresimir Zagar, the workshop was attended by the Hungarian partners in the project, and Mrs. Andrea Kakas from the Joint Technical Secretariat.
Guests from Hungary, Mr. János Varga and Mrs. Laura Vida, introduced the participants with the development of pilgrimage, the Hungarian experience in the organization of the pilgrimage route and the route that begins in the Hungarian town Pécsvárad than through Beremend leads to Našice and ends at the Church of St. Martin in Martin. Dražen Ganzberger, project manager in the City of Našice, presented the activities under the project implemented in Našice.
The workshop ended with occasional informal gatherings where participants were able to exchange their experiences and contacts in order to develop pilgrimage tourism in this area.
